This Week's Walk....!

Tres Meanderthalos were suffering from 'walk withdrawal' symptoms this week, so, in order to cure that malaise, they joined a guided walk from their hotel (below) through the town and up into the hills; a distance of about five miles. Sadly, John was on 'shopping duty'. Poor soul!

The remains of one of the Roman aqueducts in the centre of Almunecar.

Walking up the Rio Secco - the Dry River

Custard Apples growing by the side of the path

Carrying on up the path and passing the cacti. (Not many of those in Lancashire!)

Taking a short break - no 'morning coffee stop' on this walk!

Looking across the valley to the motorway viaduct

Looking towards the sea-front. Our hotel is on the extreme right.

Poinsettia growing by the side of the path

(Something 'Trumpets')

Eddie - an 'Associate' Meanderthal for the day

The 'Boat House'!

It was built for a Merchant Navy Captain in 1969. It has since been sold on.

Back at our hotel, (No shandy this week) but some picture of the Costa Tropical in front of our hotel.
