This week's walk was a repeat of an old favourite, the Snowdrop walk though the grounds of Lytham Hall and then through to the sea front at Fairhaven.
Booting Up on Ribchester Rd of Salcote Rd on the outskirts of Lytham. |
| Our route took us along the very pleasant, Green Lane leading to the Lytham Hall estate. |
| Already the snowdrops were blooming at the side of Green Lane. |
| A pretty picture of Lytham Hall |
| Danny's getting it in the frame as well. |
| Work is on-going to return the Hall to its former splendour. |
| More snowdrops |
| Outside the tea-room |
| Work is on-going to provide a kitchen garden, from which fruit and vegetables can be bought...in season. |
This lady brings her daughter here for an annual photograph. (Will she still be posing when she's 18?) |
| In the meantime, she makes a pretty picture. |
| The pond (or lake) in the grounds of the Hall. |
| Continuing on, our route took us across the southern end of the Royal Lytham & St. Annes golf course. |
| Butty time, in the sunshine overlooking Fairhaven Lake. |
More diners...
| Just some of the residents.... |
| The iconic Lytham windmill on Lytham Green |
The view across the Ribble estuary to Southport. (Apologies for the sloping horizon!) |
