"I do like to stroll along the prom, prom, prom........." Even in November!

This week's walk was a familiar one for most of us who ventured out today... a walk along the prom at Morecambe from Bare to Heysham Head and returning by bus to Bare.

Strollers: Paddy, John R, Jim D, Harry, Vic, Mick and Anthony

On the way to Morecambe, we travelled, for the first time, along the newly opened 'Bay Gateway', otherwise known as the 'Heysham/M6 link road'.
The new road from Halton, near Lancaster, to the outskirts of Morecambe allows the motorist to avoid Lancaster and travel directly to Morecambe or Heysham.
This bypass was first mooted sixty years ago!
