Southport in Spring

For a variety of reasons, there were only four walkers this week,
Danny, Vic, Jim D and Anthony.

Our Southport walk is usually undertaken in the depth of winter, so it made a nice change to be able to walk the length of prom in the warm, spring sunshine.

The iconic Southport pier - 400 yds long!

No, Danny. This is 'coffee time' not lunchtime!

Having walked the length of promenade, we returned through the very picturesque Victoria Park, stopping for lunch on the way.

The boating lake was particularly colourful with the pedalos in the shape of swans and flamingos.
