Blackpool. More Photos

Today's forecast was -2 with a wind chill factor making it feel more like -7.
(Photos emerge of Blackpool's infamous lunchtime Butty Heist)

You brave soldiers you.

Seeking shelter from the wind on the lower promenade.

A relatively sheltered place was found for our elevenses.

Although not in evidence in this photo, the powerful easterly wind caused lots of litter to blow about. Our little group imbued with a sense civic duty, and care for the environment, helped to clean the place up. I swear that some of the litter (notably, plastic bags and newspapers,) have been gifted with a survival instinct, (or a sense of humour,) for as soon as we got within touching distance of them, they made their escape, only to land a short distance further on, to await our approach, then to repeat their dash for freedom once again. This tactic of theirs was repeated several times before,
as with grandkids devious methods of distraction needed to be employed to catch them unawares.

We took shelter near North Pier for lunch. John R is acting camera shy

Following a comfortable break for afternoon coffee in the Velvet Coaster, we returned to our starting point at Little Bispham in one of Blackpool's trams.  D K
