Grindleton (Beacon Hill) More Photos.

Parked up on a small roadside car park, on the road between Grindleton and Slaidburn.

We kept to the edge of the field, keeping away from the cows with their calves.

A Short climb brought us to the trig point, where we stopped for a brew, with the cotton wool clouds as a backdrop.

Ferns, heather and pine trees were the main features of today's walk

Setting off into the forest, the path took a steep upwards incline.

Why this cairn had been built here, I know not.Perhaps it was just close to a junction where the paths divide, but one of the paths continues upwards
A strategically positioned bench for resting aching knees

A short detour through the edge of the forest.

And we are soon back on the road again, and heading for the car park. Thanks once again for the shandy Martin.
