Lytham, A walk along the Ribble Estuary to see the sea

It isn't often that meanderthals are seen sheltering under umbrellas, but here we are, myself included, taking the risk of   being banned from all future walks. The more hardy among us
are still walking bare legged.

The wet weather afforded us ample room to social distancing.

John, the founder member and anchor of our group.

Coffee time

Mike, what are you doing there? You're not.

You Know! I think it's stopped raining😀.

The Council have been busy, sprucing up this shelter, and an
excellent job they've done of it too.

Paddy, the only sailor among us, looking longingly out to sea.

Lytham's new sea defences are almost completed.

Arriving at Fairhaven Lake.

Lunch time, and two ladies from Crew who were here before us agreed to stay- a- while and join our crew.

Leaving Fairhaven we headed back, stopping off at Lowther Gardens for a final brew.

This poor jackdaw was being harassed by a juvenile still wanting to be fed.
On our way into Lytham Centre, looking down some side streets off the main road, there are some delightful neat rows of well maintained, gabled terraced houses with lots of character.
And so back to the cars where Fiery Ginger Beer and Chocolate Coated Ice Cream Lollies were waiting for us courtesy of Martin.
Cheers Martin.
