Bleasdale

Having left home in good time, I was expecting to be the first to arrive at our designated meeting place. But alas, it wasn't to be. As a rule Google Maps is brilliant, but just occasionally it gets it wrong, and with problems getting a mobile phone signal out in the sticks, it took a while for me to find my way there. Sorry to keep you waiting lads.

The church of St Aedmer which Google had transplanted into a field half a mile  away.
I resolve always to carry a road atlas with me in future, as back-up

The Bleasdale Circle. Is this the oldest identified site in Lancashire?

Fairsnape Fell.

The signpost on the left is pointing to the access path onto the fells. Not today thank you.

Dinnertime in the woods
Mike and Vic are perched on the utility designed collapsable stools. Anthony also has one
but so far, fortunately none of them have collapsed whilst in use.

The children and the dogs were keeping very quiet and well hidden whilst we were there.

Fairsnape on the left and Parlic on the right.

These glamping huts at first sight look like wood cabins, but the walls are in fact canvas.

Back where we started. Thanks John for a good walk.
