Rivington

Lower Rivington Reservoir.

Following the heavy rainfall two days ago, the reservoir was disgorging it's abundant surplus water into the overspill channel.

You wouldn't think that these two gentlemen were pillars of the community would you. They are deliberately obstructing the gate when they have been asked not to.

No! Vic isn't playing a concertina, he's struggling to close his recently purchased collapsible seat.

Anglezarke reservoir.

An angler on Anglezarke.

The overspill channel from Yarrow reservoir, emptying into Anglezarke.

The first sign of the autumn colours.

The steps alongside the waterfall.

Heading down towards Liverpool Castle.

Having left Liverpool Castle (see John's pics),
we headed back to the car park through the woods alongside Lower Rivington reservoir
.
Vic's the one with the hat on.

Martin although not walking with us, met up with us for dinner, and at the end of our walk greeted us all with a glass (plastic) of chilled shandy. Thanks Martin.

One of the many squirrels we passed along the way.
