LOCKDOWN 2

NOAH'S PARK

WE'LL MEET AGAIN,  DON'T KNOW WHERE, DON'T.............

Remember,  Remember the 5th of November

When lockdown came on us again

Group walking has gone. It's now One to One

I suppose we should  call it a pain.

                                🌲🌳

But no, that's not so. We're still free to go

To walk where we like with ONE friend.

It's a bit of a lark, It's like Noah's Ark

We toddle along Two by Two

                             ☁ ☁ ☁

We can't travel far that's a rule we must heed

So "Local" is now our new norm.

But parks and reserves are good for fraught nerves

And whingeing is really "Bad Form"

                                     πŸ’₯

This first week of Lockdown saw Martin and John

Take a stroll through the parks by the Ribble

Frenchwood  and Avenham and Miller we passed

With a break at the cafe for a "Nibble"

                  🍌  🍌

There's always a silver lining of course

and lockdown was not an exception

The folks that we passed all smiled and waved

Our "Hello's"  got  such a reception

                          πŸ’—πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š

Among the friendly strangers

familiar faces too,

Dave, Joe and Katherine

were folks we really knew

Our walk was no great distance.

T'was in fact quite short

We walked and talked and smiled.

So distance seemed as nought.

                                    🎈

Not many miles hence two more of our crew

Were walking around Witton Park

They climbed to the top of a hill for the view

And came down again before Dark

(I'm making this up.I don't know what they were doing'cos I wasn't there. Perhaps they will tell us themselves ?)

And so we had a walking day

in spite of being locked up

And enjoyed it as it felt quite new

We followed the rules to keep ourselves safe

And we hope that you will do too.
