The Wirral. More Photos.

Rush hour over, we all managed to get a seat on the Mersey Rail
Service. (We were not so fortunate on our way back), at the end of our walk. From Liverpool Central a long escalator took us down to the Wirral line, where we continued on the New Brighton train
to Wallasey Grove Road station.

An early lunch was the order of the day. Paddy having made a late decision to walk with us today, did not have time to make a packed lunch. He reluctantly accepted half a butty from John but stoically refused all other offers.

Just as we arrived at the mouth of the Mersey, this ship was just leaving.

On our way up the Mersey.

The ferry had to battle against a fast running ebb tide to reach the  Terminal.

Aboard the Ferry and on our way Liverpool's Pier Head.

Old friends, sat on there park bench like bookends.
I know it's not.

Ho,omeward bound, I wish I wa,as.
Your singing the wrong songs!
