More photos Ribchester

The long and the short of it is. This weeks walkers fall into two categories. The sensible and the foolish. I am numbered among the latter. The improperly dressed, for one of Johns walks.

I apologise for the creative effects to some of this weeks photos. The camera took control of itself, while I looked on helpless to do anything about it.

Leaving the River Ribble behind we set off in search of Nettles.

The undefined paths on this walk and the reaction of the animals, led us to believe that few people passed this way.

Although this photo does not adequately depict how  this farm has been allowed to become a dumping ground, there was convincing evidence that fly tippers are not the only ones responsible for the blight to the countryside.

The donkey in the picture, also did not appear to be familiar with human kind, (or even meanderthals) and seemed to regard  the horse as its guardian and protector.

Afternoon brew in the lovely village of Copster Green.

It's the stile I feel sorry for !

And a few intentional black and whites...... Can I say that?

Although Martin did not accompany us on this walk, he very generously provided us all with his usual cup of shandy which was very welcome. We needed re-hydrating. Cheers Martin
